Agnes Pecinovsky

Agnes Pecinovsky, 83, formerly of the Tampa community, died March 17, 2002, at Marion Manor.

The daughter of Anton and Frantiska Vajnar, she was born Oct. 12, 1918, at Tampa.

A homemaker, she also was active on the farm, and worked in the housekeeping department at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

On Aug. 14, 1939, she was married to Martin Pecinovsky at Council Grove.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish of the Catholic church in Marion County.

She lived most of her lifetime in the Tampa community where she was active in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a member of the altar society for 40 years.

She moved to Marion in 1995.

Her husband died on April 9, 1995.

Survivors include sons, Jim of Pratt and Frank of Marion; daughter, Darlene Blankenship, Topeka; brothers, Jerry Vajnar, Newton, and Robert Vajnar, Tampa; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sisters Kristina, Anna, Frances, and Esie.

The funeral Mass was offered this afternoon, Wednesday, at St. Mark Church of Holy Family Parish in Marion with Father Steven Gronert officiating.

Private inurnment was at St. Mary's Cemetery, near Tampa.

A memorial fund has been established at St. Luke Hospital.
