Albert Ratzlaff

Albert Ratzlaff, 95, of Goessel died Feb. 20, 2004, at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

Born Aug. 2, 1908, at rural Hillsboro, he was the son of Andreas and Susanna (Wedel) Ratzlaff.

On Nov. 8, 1936, near Inman, he married Mary Penner. She is deceased.

After marriage, they lived on a farm southwest of Hillsboro and moved to Goessel in 1986.

He was a farmer and a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church and the Wheat Heritage Engine Club, both of Goessel.

Survivors include sons, Norman and his wife Wanda of Newton and Marlin and his wife Anita of Arvada, Colo.; daughters, Frances Rogers and her husband Bob of McPherson and Rosalie Duerksen and her husband Marvin of rural Canton; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel with Revs. Jim Dunn and Mark Wiens officiating. Burial was at Alexanderwohl Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with Bethesda Home in Goessel.
