Albina Kroupa

Albina B. Kroupa, 89, Pilsen, died Feb. 21, 2003, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

The Rosary was recited and Mass of the Resurrection offered Tuesday morning at St. John's Catholic Church, Pilsen, Holy Family Parish. Father Steve Gronert officiated, Charlene Svitak was organist, and Jeannie Vinduska served as lector. Gift bearers were Edmund and Mary Lou Kroupa. Casket bearers were Ernie Stika, Steve Augustine, Todd Svitak, Randy Svitak, Eddie Svitak, and Dale Klenda.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born March 31, 1913, near Lincolnville, the oldest of the three children of the late Louis and Mary (Moravec) Kroupa.

She grew up in the community and was a member of the parish church.

The family moved into Pilsen in 1940, where she spent the majority of her life.

She enjoyed gardening, singing Czech songs, listening to polka music, and visiting relatives and friends.

She also cooked for priests at Pilsen.

Survivors include a sister, Tillie Stika of Hesston, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established with the Pilsen Community Center.
