Alcohol involved in incidents in the county

An individual fell asleep while driving a vehicle at 5:15 a.m. Sept. 3 at U.S.-77 and milepost 101.5. An odor of alcohol was detected on the driver. Open containers of an alcoholic beverage were found inside the vehicle. The driver admitted drinking and taking a prescription drug which causes drowsiness, reports Deputy Rollin Schmidt.

At 9:05 p.m. Aug. 23, three girls stopped Sergeant Jeff Soyez at 5th and Main, Florence. They stated a driver in a small pickup almost ran over them. At that time the vehicle came by and the girls identified the driver. Soyez stopped the vehicle, and after several tests, arrested the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 9 p.m. Sept. 6 an individual got into an argument with Khalene C. Hassler, 2267 340th, Lost Springs. The individual pushed Hassler, causing her to fall and cut her back, reports Undersheriff Randal Brazil.
