Alexander Schwabauer
Alexander P. Schwabauer, 94, died Nov. 12, 2007, at Bethesda Home, Goessel.
Born Dec. 15, 1912, at Lincoln, Neb., he was the son of Jacob and Marie (Bender) Schwabauer.
On Sept. 30, 1939, he married Hildegarde Keller at Chicago, Ill. She died in 2003.
He worked as a tailor and salesman in the Chicago area most of his life.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jacob, John, and William; and three sisters, Theresa, Amelia, and Marie.
Survivors include his son, Neal and Arlys Schwabauer of rural Newton; brother, Joseph Schwabauer of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service was conducted this morning (Wednesday) at Faith Mennonite Church, Newton, with Pastor Gordon Smith officiating.
Burial was in Tabor Mennonite Cemetery, rural Goessel.
Memorial funds have been established with Bethesda Home or Hope Home Repair.
