Alvarez, Adams married June 4 at Hillsboro church
Laci Alvarez and Kane Adams were married at 5:30 p.m. June 4, 2005, at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, Hillsboro.
Parents of the couple are Joe and Barbara Alvarez and Lyman and Marie Adams, all of Hillsboro.
The Rev. John Ryding officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Vocalists were the bride's cousins, Justin and Dena Hall of Colwich and Jessica Fournier of El Dorado.
Steve Seifert of Lost Springs, the bride's uncle, was the sound technician.
Escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a white strapless Georgette A-line gown featuring a side drape with pearls, sequins, and crystals and a chapel-length train. She wore a tiara of rhinestones and crystals with a white finger-tip veil accented with pearls and Swarovski crystals, edged with satin cording.
She carried a bouquet of white stargazer lilies, plumosa, maiden hair, and lily grass accented with sprays of pearls and hand-tied with white organza ribbon.
Denise Huggins of Derby was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Bulk of Overland Park, Erin Bartel of Hillsboro, and Elizabeth Martin of Manhattan.
The attendants wore aqua satin tea-length gowns accented with a white satin ribbon around the waist. They carried white stargazer lilies hand-tied with an aqua ribbon.
Kyle Adams of Topeka served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brother-in-law, Rich Bartow of Topeka, Grant Wiens of Hillsboro, and Ryan Tomlinson of Basting Ridge, N.J.
Taelyn Alvarez of Gothenburg, Neb., was flower girl. Dusten Plenert of Hillsboro was ring bearer. Both are cousins of the bride.
Guests were seated by Brett Speaks of Royersford, Pa., Derek Carlson of Emporia, and the groom's cousin, Erik Anderson of Lawrence.
Megan Anderson of Lawrence, cousin of the groom, and Kelsie Penner of Hillsboro were guest book attendants.
The bride's cousins, Jodi and Toni Herman of Herington and Selena Seifert of Lost Springs were in charge of gifts.
The groom's sister-in-law, Kristy Adams and his sister, Kara Bartow, both of Topeka were hosts at a reception held at Red Coach Inn, McPherson.
Reception attendants were the bride's cousins, Crystal Alvarez of Junction City and Dena Hall of Colwich, and Liz Erickson of Chapman.
The bride is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Kansas State University with a degree in human resource management. She is employed with Cargill as a human resource associate in Hazleton, Pa.
Her husband is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Kansas State University with a degree in social science. He is employed with Countryside Financial in Wyoming, Pa., as a loan specialist.
Following a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple lives in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
