Ammeter News: LaVonne has visitors from Missouri and Nebraska

Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Attending were Maude Gaines and Sherry Nightengale.

LaVonne ate lunch Wednesday at Peabody Senior Center.

Ty Fredrickson stopped Thursday afternoon at LaVonne's.

LaVonne's niece, Rose Watts of Agency, Mo., spent Friday afternoon with her and was a supper guest. She went to Wichita to spend a couple days with her mother, Carolyn Holm.

Katie Watts of Jefferson City, Mo., spent Friday night here and went Saturday morning to Wichita.

Don Gillet visited Friday afternoon with LaVonne.

Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived Saturday morning at the Ammeter farm and were dinner, supper, and overnight guests. Stan Ammeter joined them for dinner. They had brought Opal Craney home and were her Friday overnight guests.

Guests Sunday were Myron, Sally, and Stan. Later in the afternoon Mary Sue Holm of Quentin, Va., came to spend a few days. She had been at Carolyn and Jack's since Friday. We had fun hunting asparagus. LaVonne and Mary Sue visited Monday with Laura Branham at Marion Manor. They ate lunch with her and returned to Peabody to visit Gary Branham. Stan Ammeter was an evening visitor.

Mary Sue and LaVonne went Tuesday to Wichita to visit Carolyn and Jack Metz. Kathryn Ireland joined them for lunch. Later in the evening Emily Haxton and Avery of Ellsworth came to spend Wednesday night with Grandma LaVonne.

Mary Sue left Wednesday morning for Virginia.

April 12-18

Carolyn Holm of Wichita arrived Wednesday noon at the Ammeter farm to spend the night and Thursday. We worked on the invitations for the Ammeter reunion Memorial Day weekend. We ate lunch Thursday at Burns Café and spent some time at the Burns museum. Carolyn left for home in the late afternoon. Stan Ammeter joined us for Wednesday evening supper.

Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's with Sherry Nightengale, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and LaVonne quilting. Maude Gaines didn't come and Carolyn Holm was a guest.

Maundy Thursday services were held at Summit United Methodist Church. We had a foot-washing and communion service. The Bell Ringers, under the direction of Steve Glover played for the Sunday morning Easter service. We really enjoy them.

Bryan and Jodi Ammeter of Kansas City arrived late Friday evening and spent the weekend with Grandma LaVonne. They attended an Easter dinner Saturday noon at Hesston and the evening was spent at Aunt Laura's at Newton.

Steve and Melody Magette of Dodge City arrived Saturday afternoon at LaVonne's to spend the weekend. We ate supper at Town and Country Café at Florence. Later in the evening Blaine, Carol, and Todd of Ellinwood came to LaVonne's to spend the night and Sunday. Stan Ammeter was an evening visitor.

Easter visitors of LaVonne were Eric and Kristin Magette and Matthew of Salina. Dinner guests were Melody and Steve, Blaine, Carol, and Todd, Bryan and Jodi, Stan and Eric, and Kristin and Matthew. We did so enjoy great-grandson, Matthew. He's crawling and so much fun. They all returned Sunday evening to their homes. Adam Magette of Overland Park called Sunday afternoon to wish all a happy Easter.

Shelly Harper of Inman picked up Maude Gaines Saturday and they went to Perry to visit Jim and Sally Abels for the weekend. They all had Easter dinner with the Kim and Kevin Robb family.

LaVonne was in Marion Monday for a doctor's appointment and shopping.

Maude and LaVonne visited Aunt Leona Widler Tuesday afternoon at Legacy Park.
