Andy Schmidt
Andy Schmidt, 82, died Nov. 8, 2003, at Legacy Park in Peabody.
Born Dec. 25, 1920, at rural Hillsboro, he was the son of Andrew and Bena (Baltzer) Schmidt, Sr.
On Aug. 12, 1948, in Goessel, he married Wilma Woelk.
He was a farmer and seed dealer and a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
Survivors include his wife Wilma of Hillsboro; sons, Larry Schmidt of Newton, and Donovan Schmidt of Plains, Mont.; daughter, Lucretia Vance of Sedgwick; brothers, Emmanuel of Wichita, Malvin of Hillsboro, and Daniel of Moorseville, N.C.; sister, Alma Rempel of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Wednesday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Dave Plett officiating.
A memorial has been established with Northview Developmental Services.
