Anniversary: Norman and Dot Ensz
Norman and Dot Ensz of Hillsboro will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a open house from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 1, 2002, at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
Norman Ray Ensz of Hillsboro married Dorothy May Janzen of rural Marion on Sept. 1, 1952, at the EUB Church parsonage in Hillsboro. Rev. V. J. Boehringer officiated.
Norman retired from Greeley Gas Co. in December of 1990 after 25 1/2 years of service. Dot retired from Salem Hospital, Inc. in December of 1998 with 6 1/2 years of laundry service there and a total of 25 1/2 years of doing commercial laundry.
He enjoys being a beekeeper, mustangs, sports, and traveling. She enjoys bowling, taking pictures, sports, and traveling.
The open house will be hosted by their children: son, Randy and his girls, Alicia and Jasmine Ensz, of Hillsboro; and daughter, Joni and husband Terry and their girls Stephanie and Staci Ens of Maize.
Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate with the couple. They request no gifts, please.
