Annual meal, talent show to be held Feb. 21 years ago
The Goessel Lions Club and Bethesda Home will co-sponsor the fourth annual benefit meal and talent show on Feb. 21 at Goessel Sr./Jr. High School. The benefit meal of barbecue brisket sandwiches, baked beans, pasta salad, and homemade pies will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
The talent show will follow the meal at 7 p.m. and will feature a variety of Central Kansas talent including country-gospel song writer and singer Jake Schmidt from Buhler, Gospel Four Quartet from Hesston, cowboy poet-storyteller John Hybsha from Newton, and other local talent.
Van Schmidt will serve as master of ceremonies.
Donations will be accepted at the meal and/or at the talent show to support the Goessel Lions Club's project of installing handicapped accessible automatic doors at the Marion Street entrances of Bethesda Home. Make your donations payable to Bethesda.
