Area athletes sign with Tabor
Two local athletes, Mindy Munguya and Sarah Regier, will look to make an impact n the women's track and field team at Tabor College.
Munguya, a 5-5 triple jumper from Hillsboro, competed in the 2002 state track and field meet.
"Mindy is a very good athlete who will add depth to a strong group of female jumpers," Kroeker said. "She will be a great asset to our team and I'm looking forward to her contributions next spring."
Munguya is the daughter of Amot and Georgina Munguya, Hillsboro.
Regier, a Marion High School graduate, is a shot put and discus thrower who won the CVL league championship in discus in 2000.
"Sarah has good tools to work with and will develop into a good college thrower," Kroeker said. "She brings an excellent work ethic and attitude to our team and I'm looking forward to working with her this coming season."
Regier is the daughter of Debra Regier, Peabody.
