TC football camp slated for July 13-19
Mike Gardner, head football coach at Tabor College, and members of his staff and football team will conduct football camps from July 13 through 19 at Tabor.
Athletes who have completed eighth grade through 12th grade will meet July 13 through 15. The camp, including two night's lodging, meals, and camp T-shirt, costs $125 for resident campers and $80 for commuters including meals and T-shirt.
Campers in first grade through seventh grade will meet July 18 and 19. The cost is $20.

Tabor baseball signs BCC pitcher
Tabor College head baseball coach John Sparks has announced the signing of Nick Villalovos, a 5-8, 170-pound, left-handed pitcher from Bakersfield (Calif.) Community College.
Villalovos boasted a 1-0 record with a 2.38 ERA while appearing primarily in middle relief appearances for Bakersfield this spring. Bakersfield ended the season with a 24-15 record and a state junior college playoff birth after being ranked most of the year.
Villalovos also excelled in the classroom at Bakersfield, earning Academic All Conference Honors.
"Nick will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the mound for our program this coming year", said Sparks. "He is a left-handed pitcher with excellent stuff who comes from a very competitive program. We couldn't be more pleased to sign him."
Teen center
to host dance
That One Place, 415 S. Main, will hold a dance Saturday. The teen center will open at its regular time, 4:30 to 9 p.m., and two local bands will begin playing at 5:30 p.m.
Regular activities also will be available and the snack bar will be open.
There is no admission, and students in grades six through 12 are welcome.
