Arnold Penner
Arnold H. Penner, 93, of Hillsboro died March 30, 2003, at the Hospice House in Hutchinson.
Born March 9, 1910, at Hillsboro, he was the son of Robert F. and Emma (Janzen) Penner.
On Oct. 30, 1929, he married Ada Unruh at rural Durham. She died in 1946.
On Feb. 5, 1948, he married Selma Penner at Hillsboro. She died in 2002.
He was a farmer and a member of Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his wives, and son Clinton Penner in 1967.
Survivors include sons. Curtis Penner of Lehigh and Galen Penner of rural Hillsboro; daughters, Fern Nickerson of Gladstone, Mo., and Joretta Martens of Haven; sister, Esther Seibel; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held April at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Tim Kliewer officiating. Burial was at Johannestal Cemetery of rural Hillsboro.
A memorial fund has been established with Camp Mennoscah in lieu of flowers.
