Around the Town: Schmidts attend Rose Bowl parade

Liz Lancaster from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., was a weekend guest of her parents, Dave and Mary Lancaster.
Mr. and Mrs. Malvin Schmidt joined a bus tour to the Rose Bowl Parade at Pasadena, Calif. One of the other highlights of the tour was the Crystal Cathedral at Garden Gove, Calif.
Mrs. Phyllis Elston from Wichita was an overnight guest of her mother, Martha Yauk.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Mohn had a birthday supper for their son Gordon on Wednesday evening. Other guests were Vicky and Jenny Mohn and Russel Haug from Bethel College in North Newton.
Rex Steiner from United Arab Emirates, near the Persian Gulf, and Roy Steiner from New Jersey spent some time with their parents, Gene and Beryl Steiner and other family and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Steiner were Sunday guests of their daughter and family, Stephen and Paula Keiffer at Clifton. They celebrated Aidan's first birthday.
