Bartel earns pilot certificate
Lance Bartel of Hillsboro recently earned a private pilot certificate at Kansas State University at Salina.
He completed a minimum of 35 hours of flight time during 30 lessons.
Bartel is a sophomore in the school's professional pilot program.
