Bettles participates in tractor pull at state fair

Sunday dinner guests at the home of Irene Seibel were Joel Suderman, Lyle and Julie Suderman and Dana, Dr. Doug Miller and boys, and two Tabor College students, Tim Huber and Heidi Buller.
Wayne and Carol Ollenburger, Gerald, Neil, and Jessi Ollenburger and the Dale Winter family, all of Hillsboro, attended the Central Christian Church in Wichita on Sunday where they heard Gracia Burham speak and tell of her and her husband's experiences while being held hostages in the Philippines. After the church service, they all had dinner together.
Caleb Bettles, son of Clint and Kelly Bettles, participated on Sunday in the tractor pull at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson Other family members joined them.
Over the weekend, Virgil and Jean Ollenburger traveled to Tulsa, Okla., where they visited Dean Ollenburger at the medical center. From there, they went to Shell Knob, Mo., and visited their sister-in-law, Marcy Ollenburger.
On Saturday, Paul and Arlene Pankratz prepared dinner and shared it with David and Sherilyn Kadel at Randall. David's condition is slowly improving since his air crash four weeks ago. Fifteen neighbors came in on Monday and worked their wheat ground in preparation for wheat sowing for which they are very grateful.
Oliver and Marcella Mohn spent part of Friday and Saturday with the Bob Haug family in Jetmore. They went especially to watch the Jetmore-Ashland football game in which their grandson played.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pucket from Ulysses, Marcia Bricker of Goessel, and a friend from McPherson were Friday evening visitors of Pearl Koch.
