Birth: Brendan Matthew Shanks

Todd and Tammy Shanks of Salina announce the birth of their son, Brendan Matthew Shanks, born Oct. 26, 2002, a Salina Regional Health Center. He weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Grandparents are James and Kathy Carr of Hillsboro and Bill and Bonnie Shanks of Stella, Neb.

Great-grandparents are Nina Krotz of Hillsboro, Max and Wanda Carr of Marion, Dorothy Arnold of Auburn, Neb., and Jeane Shanks of Stella, Neb.
