Shannon and Carrie Friesen of Hesston announce the birth of a son, Reed Cooper Friesen, born Jan. 27, 2007, at Newton Medical Center.
He weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Grandparents are Stuart and Lynette Penner and Dennis and CleoBeth Friesen, all of Hillsboro.
Great-grandparents are Milton and Linda Goertzen of Goessel, Elmer and Leona Friesen of Hillsboro, Leonard and Carolyn Klein of Munich, N.D.
Hilda Thiessen of Hillsboro is the great-great-grandmother.
