Bluebird boys post first victory

Goessel High School boys' basketball team outscored Remington in every quarter Friday, en route to a 69-47 opening-season victory.
A total of four Bluebirds hit double figures in the non-league game against the Broncos.
Senior Cameron Voth led all scorers with 17 points and five three-pointers.
Austin Unruh scored 15, Nathan Ensz dropped 12 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocked shots, and Craig Banman had 10 points.
Seth Ott led the team with three steals and knocked in eight points and Weston Hiebert ended the night with seven points.
Goessel went to the free-throw line 25 times and was 3-11 from the charity stripe.
GHS is currently in the middle of the Bluebird Classic, which began Tuesday.
The team will play Thursday and Friday as well.
