Bluebirds soar over Trinity

Goessel defeated 3A Hutch Trinity, 61-46, Friday night.
The trapping defense worked for the Bluebirds as they exploded for 26 points in the third period.
Jordan Voth scored all of his 12 points in the third quarter. The Bluebirds collected steal after steal and tossed the ball down the floor to open teammates for layups.
The boys also defeated Berean Academy, 51-42, Dec. 12. The Bluebirds came up with 10 steals and went from a one-point deficit at the half to win by a margin of nine.
Going into Tuesday's game at Peabody, the Goessel boys are 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the Heart of America League.
Goessel girls fall to 2-4
The Goessel girls fell to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the League with losses this week to Berean and Hutch Trinity. The Warriors are a strong team and the Bluebirds just could not match the Berean scoring in the 48-26 loss on Tuesday.
The Goessel girls will play in Peabody on Tuesday, hoping to pick up another win before the Christmas break.
