It's a nothing-to-lose season for the Bluejays baseball team this year.
After the rough year Tabor had this past season, there's only one way for coach John Sparks and the Bluejays to go — up.
Tabor's season got off to a good start Feb. 18 in Wichita against the city's second best program, the Kansas Newman Jets.
The Bluejays beat Newman in the first game of the year, 8-5.
Andy Womark and Layne Frick combined for a six-hitter with Womark bagging the win and Frick picking up the save.
Heavy-hitter Chance Miles went 2-for-4, driving in a pair of runs and two RBIs, going deep for a two-run blast.
As part of the 10-hit barrage, Mike Fouquet also went 2-for-4 with a trio of RBIs. Keenan Morris scored three runs.
Hampered by three defensive errors, the Jets crushed Tabor in the nightcap, roughing up Scott Wolf and the Bluejays for a 17-3 rout.
Wolf was charged with the loss, helping surrender 18 hits. Grant Brubacher tripled, and Miles doubled for Tabor's small hitting display.
Mother Nature has waylaid Tabor's season as the melting snow thwarted the Bluejays' Feb. 20-21 games against Johnson Wales.
Pending good weather, Tabor opened the home part of its schedule Tuesday in a doubleheader against Central Christian of McPherson.
The Bluejays get a rematch Friday with the Jets at 1 p.m. before hosting Central Methodist at noon Saturday.
