Boese to celebrate 90th birthday years ago
Alvin Boese of Lehigh will be the guest of honor April 29 at a dinner to mark his 90th birthday.
Born April 29, 1917, he was the son of Abraham and Maria (Schroeder) Boese. He graduated from Goessel High School and attended Bethel College.
On Sept. 9, 1946, he married Audrey Unruh.
Their children are Anita Boese and Aileen and David Esau, all of Hillsboro; Alan and Sharon Boese of Lehigh; and Ama and Murray Reimer of Hutchinson. They also have seven grandchildren.
He has been active in dairy and grain farming since 1939, and still enjoys helping his son on the family farm. He served on several local boards and was a trustee at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel.
