Brad Vogel elected president of KCDA
Dr. Bradley Vogel, associate professor of choral music, has been elected to the position of president-elect of the Kansas Choral Directors Association beginning July 2003.
Vogel will hold this position until July 2005, when he will then serve as president for two years. In July 2007, he will serve KCDA as past president for an additional two years.
As president-elect, Vogel will organize a booth and activities at the annual Kansas Music Educators Association's state convention as well as other duties assigned by the president.
The Tabor Concert choir under the direction of Vogel has been selected to perform at the convention in late February at Century II Convention Center in Wichita.
As president, Vogel will oversee and organize the annual summer convention, including contacting and hiring of professional clinicians, contracting for the convention site and arranging the schedule for the convention. He will provide representation for KCDA for choral music education issues with the KMEA.
Vogel said he is to generally be available and visible for choral music as a whole in the state, including church music, college or university choirs, education and community choirs.s
