Burton resigns; Faul, King hired

Sixth-grade teacher Collette Burton has resigned her position at Hillsboro Middle School. Her resignation was accepted by the USD 410 board of education Monday night during a special board meeting.

Burton is getting married next month, and she has accepted a teaching job in the Argonia area, where her future husband lives.

Burton's absence left teaching and coaching positions that were filled Monday night.

Former Hillsboro Elementary School teacher Michelle Faul was hired to replace Burton in sixth grade. To replace Burton as head volleyball coach at Hillsboro High School, former assistant coach Tina King was promoted to the head coaching position.
