California native signs with Tabor baseball
Tabor College head baseball coach John Sparks announces the signing of Eric LiCalsi, Madera, Calif., for the 2005-06 season.
"We are pleased to receive a baseball player and a person with many good qualities," said Sparks.
As a high school senior, LiCalsi hit .255 with four home runs, 16 RBIs, eight stolen bases and a .500 slugging percentage. The 5-10, 185-pound catcher/outfielder received the Madera Baseball Coaches Award in recognition of his efforts.
LiCalsi also excelled in the classroom and served as co-valedictorian of his senior class.
"Eric is a hard worker who has some offensive pop at the plate," said Sparks. "He is also an individual who will be an asset to the Tabor community."
