Carbon credits meeting is Monday

Kansas Farm Bureau will host an information meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at Marion City Building basement.

Steve Swaffar, director of natural resources with Kansas Farm Bureau will provide information on how farmers and ranchers can earn income from no-till/strip-till crop production, new grass plantings and rangeland management.

Swaffar will introduce a new and innovative method for farmers and landowners to take advantage of carbon credits. The meeting is open to any farm operator or landowner interested in learning more about this new market

Marion County Farm Bureau and the Marion Reservoir WRAPS will host the meeting. The informational meeting is co-sponsored by the Flint Hills RC&D Council.
