The Hillsboro High School FFA sponsored its second annual work auction and chili feed Saturday night. The night was such a success that after the second batch of chili was gone organizers had to resort to ordering pizza for the hungry crowd.

Close to 75 community and family members showed up at the high school commons to enjoy the dinner and participate in the auction. The FFA fund raiser was organized by FFA officers, and vo ag instructor and FFA advisor Tim Kilgore. FFA members made the chili.

Approximately 40 FFA members were auctioned off after the dinner for four hours of work. The auction raised more than $2,000 for the FFA, and some of the members brought in more than $200 each.
