City council highlights
Engineering consultant Robert Privatera was the bearer of bad news Tuesday evening at the Hillsboro City Council meeting when he informed the council of drainage problems.
Privatera identified three areas — Birch Street, the area around the Adobe House Museum which includes two ponds, and the Scout House. He suggested the city consider changing elevation levels of the ponds to help alleviate the problem. More discussion will follow at a future council meeting.
