With so many different hats to wear, Hillsboro's next city administrator will most certainly have a demanding job.

But before the hat-wearing can commence, the Hillsboro City Council has an equally-tough task — and that's to find the head that best fits all the hats.

To assure Hillsboro gets the best candidates to interview for the job, the council has hired the League of Kansas Municipalities to lead the search process for the new city administrator.

Neither city council members nor the mayor have the time or expertise to conduct such an important search on their own, according to Mayor Delores Dalke. Using the League Executive Administrative Position Search (LEAPS) program is a step in the right direction, she said.
