Claassen, Walker wed in June ceremony at Parkview Church
Angela Claassen and Benjamin Walker, both of Hillsboro, were married June 13, 2004, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Tim Sullivan and Rev. Roy Keller officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Janice Claassen of Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Gregg and Betsy Walker, also of Hillsboro.
The bride's grandparents are Roy and Jean Keller of Hillsboro, the late Louis Claassen and Dorothy Claassen of Newton. The groom's grandparents are Helen and Louis Almond of Pennsylvania, the late Louis Walker, and Irene Walker of Topeka.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white Mori Lee wedding gown with embroidered bands trimming the scooped neckline and contoured empire seam of the bodice with Camelot sleeves. The hemline band framed the Princess-line gown and cascaded downward onto the chapel-length train.
Matron of honor and wedding coordinator was Ashley Enns, sister of the bride.
Maid of honor was Elizabeth Rue, cousin of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Laci Vogt, Karis Jost, and Alysha Claassen, Jayme Claassen, and Lottie Alonzo, sisters of the bride.
Junior bridesmaid was Ruthie Walker, sister of the groom.
Best man was Jimmy Gilliardt. Grooms woman was Sara Whorton, sister of the groom.
Groomsmen were Matt Vogt, Jerod Metcalf, Derek Conrad, Dustin Hendricks, and David Enns, brother-in-law of the bride.
Junior groomsman was Peter Walker, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Mike Snowbarger, Dan Claassen, uncles of the bride, David Enns, brother-in-law of the bride, and Pat Keller, cousin of the bride.
Flower girls were Katie Claassen, sister of the bride, and Naomi and Rebekah Walker, sisters of the groom.
Ringbearer was Peter Claassen, brother of the bride.
Bridal and guestbook attendants were Melanie Wiebe and Candace Barkman.
Musicians were Bev and Lonn Richards, organ and piano; Stephen Rue, piano; Gregg Walker, saxophone and clarinet; and Randy Claassen, trumpet. Vocalists were Rob and Tracy Keller.
The couple graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2003. The bride attended Hesston College and is enrolled in the respiratory therapy program at LaBette Community College in Parsons. The groom is also attending LaBette and studying psychology.
After a honeymoon trip to Arkansas, the couple lives in Parsons.
