Clarence Seibel
Clarence Seibel, 81, Hillsboro died Oct. 9, 2004, in Hillsboro.
Born Sept. 12, 1923, in Marion County, he was the son of Jacob and Anna (Wall) Seibel. Dec. 15, 1949, he married Mary Koslowsky in rural Hillsboro.
He was a farmer and a member of First Mennonite Church of Fredonia.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Karissa Jost and brother, Ernest Seibel.
Survivors include his wife of Hillsboro; son, Gene and Sue Seibel of Edwardsville, Ill.; daughter, Eleanor and Lowell Jost of Hillsboro; brothers, Elmer and Dorothy Seibel of Newton, Homer and Goldie Seibel of Arkansas City, and Wallace and Dolly Seibel of Wichita; sisters, Lucena and Alfred Thiessen of Fredonia and Frances Quintana of Emporia; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Roy Keller officiating. There will be a private family burial.
Memorials have been established at Hillsboro Long Term Care Unit, Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, and American Bible Society.
