College names student scholars
Area students recently were named to the dean's honor roll for the spring 2006 semester at Hutchinson Community College.
Evan Fast, Goessel; Adam Goering, Hillsboro; and Elizabeth Brown, Tiana McGee, and Megan Weber, Peabody, earned at least a 3.5 grade point average during the semester.
Free screening
for children is Tuesday
A free screening will be available for children birth through five years of age from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Marion Presbyterian Church, Lawrence and Elm streets.
The screening will assess development in the cognitive, social-emotional, motor, and speech/language areas. Vision, hearing, and nutrition also will be checked.
