Contest could turn principal into a star
You better eat lots of cereal because the Hillsboro Elementary School's semi-annual box top challenge will start March 1 and run through March 17. The students will be working toward turning Principal Evan Yoder into Brittany Spears.
That's right, for every goal reached in the box top challenge, Yoder will add to his costume. If the students collect enough box tops, Yoder will pull out all the stops in his Brittany Spears' costume to include wig, outfit, makeup, and who knows what else.
This isn't the first crazy contest Yoder has participated in. Last year he ate lunch on the roof of the elementary school following a successful box top challenge.
The elementary school site council sponsors the contest as a fund raiser. Last fall the students collected 6,790 box tops, which was an all-time high. Site council hopes to beat that number.
