Criminal cases

The following information has been filed in the Criminal Division of Marion County District Court:

Jesse L. Newman Sr., charged with misdemeanor; order of detention with condition, no contact with Patrick Roach, Derrick Newman, Adrianna Newman, and Vince Lee Newman.

Kevin Neufeld, charged with purchase/consumption of alcoholic liquor by minor; first appearance hearing held 10:30 a.m. Nov. 1.

Roxane L. Russell, charged with theft; bond appearance at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 9.

Nicole Schermerhorn, arraignment at 9 a.m. Dec. 16.

William E. Tanner, charged with endangering a child and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; journal entry of judgment, controlling six months sentence in custody of Marion County Sheriff's Office for count two, may participate in work release program, supervised 18 months probation with court service officer, pay costs and fees of $1,292, refrain from alcohol/drugs, submit to bb/u testing, serve 48 hours in jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal, or admission, follow all recommendation of evaluation, not enter establishment with primary income of alcohol.

Bradley Cutter, charged with two counts giving worthless check; state to dismiss without prejudice, restitution to be paid with other charges, costs assessed to state.

Bradley Cutter, charged with criminal threat, two counts criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct; journal entry of judgment, 11 months with secretary of correction, 12 months supervised probation with community correction to run consecutive with other charges, follow recommendation of mental health evaluation for anger management, submit to bb/u testing, gain and maintain employment, submit to DNA, successfully complete Johnson County Correctional Residential Center Therapeutic Community Treatment program (failure to do so is violation of probation), follow recommendation of drug/alcohol evaluation at own expense, serve 48 hours in jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal, failure, or admission, pay costs and restitution of $6,174.

Gary Armstrong, bond appearance at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 15.

Russell W. Barber charged with possession of hallucinogenic; diversion agreement with order of continuance and dismissal.
