Cyclist thanks Mr. and Mrs. Good Wrench

When I moved to this area I was looking for a place to have my bicycle serviced.

I heard there was a bike shop in Hillsboro, in someone's garage. I was skeptical. But I needed a bike mechanic, a "wrench."

I took my bike there.

Absolutely perfect!

John and Helen McMinn have been "The Wrench" for cyclists in Marion County and beyond for more than 20 years.

I can never go see John and Helen without spending a little too long there because I trust them, and they are passionate about bikes.

We are so fortunate in this County to have a full service bike shop that is so flexible and professional.

Recently they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their shop. It seemed unusual to see balloons, refreshments, and a carnival atmosphere.

A biker was there all the way from Kansas City.

"I drive two and one-half hours to have John care for my bike," he said.

Having the McMinns right here is a blessing. Let's keep them busy. Thanks John and Helen. Roll on.
