Cynthia Harms

Cynthia Ann Allred Harms of Durango, Colo., died April 19, 2003, in an automobile accident near Durango.

Born Oct. 26, 1951, in Lawton, Okla., she was the daughter of Jim and Gwen Allred of St. Petersburg, Fla.

She graduated from high school at Putnam City, Okla., in 1969; Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in 1973, with a degree in dental hygiene; and the University of Oklahoma in 1990 with a degree in physical therapy. She was a physical therapist at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colo.

On March 22, 1986, she married Jerry Harms, formerly of Hillsboro in Oklahoma City, Okla.

She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, cooking, and home decorating.

Survivors include her husband of Durango, Colo.; her parents of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and sister, Kathy Freeman and husband Jeff of Tampa, Fla.

A memorial service was held April 26 along the Animas River in the outdoor amphitheater at the Durango Community Recreation Center.
