Dana Maxfield winner of Hillsboro Museum drawing

Dana Maxfield of Hillsboro was the winner of a drawing held by the Hillsboro Museums.

A "Tour to Win" contest was held during the Hillsboro Family Folk Festival. To be eligible, contestants had to have their visits validated at each of the museums' major attractions: the Friesen Windmill, the William F. Schaeffler House, The Kreutziger School and The Peter Paul Loewen House.

"We wanted people attending the Folk Festival to have a chance to experience what the museums have to offer the community," said Stan Harder, director of museums.

"I enjoyed the event because it was an event for all ages." Maxfield said. "My six-year-old daughter especially enjoyed the guided tour though the Loewen house, she was very interested in how the house was furnished and how the kitchen was operated."

The prize, Sunday Buffet for four, was donated by Linden Thiessen of the Olde Town Restaurant in Hillsboro.
