Davis named manager of newspaper office
Cathy Davis of Hillsboro has been named office manager of the Hillsboro Star-Journal.
The announcement was made by Donna Bernhardt, general manager of Hoch Publishing Co. Inc., which operates all three newspapers in Marion County, at Hillsboro, Marion, and Peabody.
Davis will be in charge of administrative duties. Jennifer Wilson will continue as news editor, Ryan Richter as sports editor, and Melissa Parmley as advertising manager. Sara Hill, copy editor, will serve as office manager when Davis is gone during summer months.
The move will free Wilson from routine administrative chores, giving her more time for extended news coverage, feature stories, rewriting press releases, and designing pages.
Melvin Honeyfield continues to serve as production manager and Wayne Ollenburger as van driver and mailer.
