Della Rittgers
Della Ruth Rittgers, 68, died Dec. 23, 2002.
Born Jan. 14, 1934, in Goessel, she was the daughter of David B. and Bertha (Neufeld) Nickel.
On Sept. 9, 1951, she married Donald Richard Rittgers at Hillsboro.
She was a school bus driver with the Marion School District, USD 408. She retired in 1996 after 22 years of service.
Survivors include her husband; son, David of Holcomb; daughter, Debbie Thomas of Lebo; brother, Melford E. Nickel of Valley Center; sister, Rosella Plenert of Marion; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 26 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church with Rev. John Goering officiating. Burial was as Marion Cemetery in Marion.
Organist was Suzanne Thole. Vocalists were Diane Boese and Roy Mann.
A memorial fund has been established with Hilltop Manor in Marion.
