Donald Musick

Donald L. Musick, 84, of Concordia, died Feb. 9, 2004, at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia.

Born Feb. 5, 1920, at Canton, he was the son of Ernest Albert and Iva Mae (Ecker) Musick.

He graduated form Canton High School and joined the U.S. Army and served in World War II as a surgical technician. After the war, he finished his college education, graduating from Bethany College with a bachelor's degree. Later he received a master's degree from Emporia State University.

On Aug. 11, 1943, he married Anna MaeBelle Schroeder at Wichita. She died Jan. 7, 2000.

Survivors include his son, Karl Douglass and wife Betty Musick of Concordia; daughter, Debra K. and husband James Wilhm of Bentonville, Ark.; brother, Bill Musick of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Concordia with the Rev. Tim Harlan officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, with full military honors.

Memorials have been established with the church Marquis Place, American Legion Post #76, and VFW Post #588.
