Eagles to celebrate 90th birthday years ago
Fern Eagles of Roxbury will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Roxbury United Parish.
She was born Fern Lehman on Jan. 15, 1913, at rural Roxbury.
On Aug. 18, 1935, she married Ralph Eagles. The couple farmed in the Assaria, Culver, and Roxbury areas. Her husband is deceased.
From 1970 to the present, Fern worked as a beautician.
Hosting the event are her children and their spouses, Nathalie and Harvey Morrical of Assaria, Loretta and Errol Redden of Gypsum, and David and Jennie Eagles of Roxbury.
She has six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, five great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. One grandchild and one great-grandchild are deceased.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend. She requests no gifts.
