Elda Evarts
Elda V. Evarts, 74, died May 11, 2007, at her home in Harvey County.
Born July 11, 1932, in Republic County, she was the daughter of Earl and Effie May (Osborne) Imler.
She married Volney Evarts in May 1956, in Nebraska.
She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church, Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter, Nila Evarts; five brothers, Galen, Boyd, Elden, Cecil, and Dwayne; and three sisters, Irla Imler, Marie Persinger, and Fern Imler.
Survivors include a son, Neil Evarts of Lansing; two daughters, Sonja Pendergraft of Newton and Nola Durham of Tyron, N.C.; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Meridian Baptist Church, Newton, with Pastors Jerroll Martens and Scott Kliewer officiating.
Burial was in White Rock Cemetery, near Superior, Neb.
A memorial fund has been established with Gideons International.
