Elizabeth Pankratz
Elizabeth Catherine Pankratz, 91, of Buhler, died Jan. 3, 2003, at Buhler Sunshine Home in Buhler.
Born Oct. 22, 1911, at Leavenworth, she was the daughter of William Peter and Elizabeth Catherine (Arnold) Mero.
She graduated from St. Teresa High School and attended the Adale Hale Business College.
She worked as an insurance secretary for the Goodpastors Insurance Agency and was also a homemaker.
On July 11, 1931, at Hutchinson, she married George G. Pankratz. He died Dec. 23, 2002.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; her brother, Arnold Mero; and sister, Anita Irene McGuire.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan and her husband John W. Scott of Hutchinson; sister, Helen Virginia Leach of Wichita; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Autrey officiating. Burial was at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.
