Elmer McCombs
Elmer LeRoy McCombs, 69, died Feb. 19, 2004, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
The son of Howard and Lillie Bell (Jarvis) McCombs, he was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Cado County, Okla.
On June 29, 1957, he married Juanita Tracy at Wichita.
A retired brick mason, he worked at Alco in Hillsboro.
Survivors include his wife of Hillsboro; a son, Elmer Jr. of Hillsboro; four daughters, Barbara Diaz of Lehigh, Nancy Gibson of Hillsboro, Christine Holloway of Maize, and Stephanie Newman of Valley Center; a sister, Estor Thompson of Vian, Okla; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Paul Hugh officiating.
Burial was in Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery.
