Elsie Myers
Elsie M. Myers, 86, died April 17, 2006, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, Hillsboro.
Born May 17, 1919, at Wiggins, Lancashire, England, she was the daughter of Thomas and Priscilla Yates.
She served in the Royal Air Force in England during World War II.
She was a homemaker and attended Strassburg Baptist Church, rural Marion.
On Nov. 20, 1977, she married Harold B. Myers. He died in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joyce Gibson; five brothers; two sisters; and a great-grandchild.
Survivors include a son, Paul Richardson of Ponca City, Okla.; two daughters, Jane Walker of Hillsboro and Jan Richardson of Solomon; sister, Doris Yates of England; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson.
Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with Hillsboro Community Medical Center, Hillsboro.
