Esther Ewert
Esther Ewert, 93, died Nov. 16, 2006, at Hillsboro.
Born April 19, 1913, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Penner) Funk.
On July 28, 1959, she married Menno Ewert. He died in 1986.
She was a member of Trinity Mennonite Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ed Smith of Walton; three sisters, Edna Gaede of Hillsboro, Luella Stucky of Hutchinson, and Marie Boldt of Reedley, Calif.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Johannestal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro, with Pastor Tim Kliewer officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with Mennonite Central Committee.
