Eva Davis

Eva Davis, 76, died Sept. 19, 2006, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

Born Oct. 6, 1929, in Winton, Calif., she was the daughter of Cornelius and Katherine Fast Giesbrecht. She was a housewife.

On Jan. 25, 1948, she married Gerald Davis in Winton, Calif. She was a member of Alexanderfeld Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death was a daughter, Dollena Wiebe, who died in 1991.

She is survived by husband Gerald of Hillsboro; sons and their wives, Harold and Mary Davis of McPherson; Roy and Nadine Davis of Durham; and Leland and Nedra Davis of Victoria, Texas; brother Pete Giesbrecht of Brooksville, Miss.; sisters Mary Unruh of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and Sarah Friesen of Buhl, Idaho; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alexanderfeld Mennonite Church of God in Christ, rural Hillsboro with Ministers Orlin Ensz and Gordon Koehn presiding. Burial will be at Alexanderfeld Mennonite Church Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Memorials may be made to Alexanderfeld Mennonite Church missions.

Family will receive visitors from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
