Eva Killingsworth

Eva Gladys Killingsworth, 92, of Lenexa, died Jan. 24, 2003, at her residence.

Born March 21, 1910, at Oglesby, Okla., she was the daughter of George Washington and Sarah Alice (Fiddler) Dalton.

On Sept. 11, 1926, at Pawhuska, Okla., she married B.C. Killingsworth. They were married 53 years before he died on March 12, 1979.

In 1985, she moved to Newton from Bushton, later to Goessel and Ulysses, and then to Lenexa in 2001.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lyons.

She was preceded in death by her son, Roy on Sept. 3, 1977; five sisters, three brothers, a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Richard Killingsworth of Newton, Don Killingsworth of Hominy, Okla., and B.C. Killingsworth Jr. of Elwood; daughters, Louise and husband Cecil Owens of Cleveland, Okla., Louella and husband Richard Lyman of Lenexa, Janet and husband Richard Sisco of Ulysses, and Eva and husband Jerry Bonham of Manter; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday at Parsons Funeral Home in Ellsworth with Pastor Jim Ledford of Edna officiating. Burial was at Bushton Cemetery in Bushton.

Memorials have been established with the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association.
