Friday football bumps HHS musical to Monday
Because of the playoff football game, Hillsboro High School has moved Friday's performance of the musical "Shanandoah" to 7 p.m. Monday.
Because there are so many Trojan football players in the cast and crew, and because she wants everyone to go to Salina to support the team, choral music director Lynn Just was happy to make the change.
"Go Trojans!" she said.
Players Aaron Stepanek, Adam Dirks, Tyler Suderman, and Darren Enns have been type-casted for their tough-guy roles in the musical, which opens at 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school auditorium. The play also will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Patrons with tickets for Friday's performance are encouraged to attend Monday's performance. They also may exchange their tickets for Thursday or Saturday shows on a first-come, first-served basis, Just said.
Reserved tickets for the musical are $5 and may be ordered by calling the high school office at 947-3991. A limited number of tickets also may be available at the door.
