Funks to celebrate 50th years ago
Francis and JoAnn Funk will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-5 p.m. Aug. 8 at Bethel College Mennonite Church fellowship hall in North Newton.
The event will be hosted by their children, Keith and Retha Funk of Lakewood, Colo., Mark Funk of Newton, Michelle Funk of Shawnee, Scott and Mary Ann Funk of Lewiston, Idaho, and Elyse and Mark Boston of Newton.
JoAnn Krehbiel and Francis Funk were married Aug. 28, 1954, at Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge. The couple have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Francis is a retired school teacher with 35 years of service. JoAnn is retired from A.T. & S.F. Railway Company after 28 years of service.
There will be a DVD presentation of the couple's 50 years together.
